Alves Racing is a Amateur Flat Track Racing team made up of one fast family! We race through out the West Coast at short track, TT and 1/4 mile events.
Joey, mechanic and dad, races in the Open Amateur or Expert class. This year he has decided to earn his Pro Sport license. He will focus on AMA events in order to earn AMA points and plans to race the AMA Dirt Track Nationals in DuQuoin, Illinois in 2010. When he is not racing, he is working with AJ and Jeremy as theyc ome through the ranks.
AJ is the 2008 West Coast Dirt Track Series Champion and the current AMA West Coast Amateur National 50 Senior Champ. For the 2009 Season AJ will make his debut in the 65 class. He is currently practicing and training hard on his Kawasaki KX65. He will be making the trip to the AMA Dirt Track Nationals in 2010 in the 65 Premier Class.
Jeremy is the youngest rider on the team. He is four-year-old and is just starting his first full season racing. In 2008 he raced a Suzuki Quadracer with the goal of moving up to a motorcycle. Just recently he began riding his dirtbike with more confidence. He will make a run at the West Coast Dirt Track Series title in 2009!
Augie or "PA" rides a TT500 that he has built himself. He was an expert flattrack racer in the 70's, and made his return nearly 30 years later. He is also "head" mechanic and loves to make his boys bikes go fast.

from Alves Racing...
Well...the littlest member of Alves Racing decided to come early. Joshua Luis Alves was born on June 26th at 8:47 am. He came two months early, but is doing well. We are going to take a little time off from racing to help Josh recover and come home. Thank you to everyone for your well wishes and help during this time. We can't wait to take Josh to his first race in Bakersfield in September!
